BOOK WEEK
CBCA Book Week is coming up in Week 5 of term 3 (18-22 August)... only 1 week to go!
This year celebrates the 80th anniversary of the CBCA Book Week. The theme for this year's book week is "Book an Adventure".
We will hold our annual Book Week Parade at each campus in week 5 of term 3:
- Lowe St:Tues 19August at 9.10am
- Macquoid St:Wed 20August at 9.30am
So, time to start thinking about a character to dress up as... look in your dress up box, wardrobe or the local Op-Shops for inspiration.
Costumes don’t need to be elaborate or expensive and the most imaginative ones are often ‘put together’ or constructed at home.
No prizes are awarded for costumes we just encourage everyone to dress up and join in the fun.
We look forward to seeing all of the costumes.
We will also be running some competitions in conjunction with Book Week. These will be explained to the students during their library lessons:
MACQUOID ST campus:
- Short Story:
- Students can write a short story with the theme 'Book an Adventure' in mind.
- They will be provided with 1 double sided piece of paper with lines.

- Students will start the brainstorming in their library lesson but will need to complete the design at home.
